anyone thinking of picking this up? Lots of stuff depends on this, and we want to make sure we keep it updated (I think it's been a source of pain/frustration in the past, too).

I have 1.0.2 built and passing its tests - anyone want to try out this patch and see if it's working for you? (especially if you've had openssl problems in the past?)

(I had to regen the patch-Configure.diff to get it to apply).
