What are your thoughts about LibreSSL? (please see <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/44313>) If LibreSSL port existed, I was thinking other ports might have a variant to switch a depends_lib between ssl ports. As a variant, ports could experiment with LibreSSL support. I would volunteer as LibreSSL maintainer.
