Don't set it to unsupported; delete it entirely. THAT will disable GC for sure.

Also, Xcode 3.2 compatibility mode pretty much means nothing. That's just the file format version, which has been the same for years until very recently (Xcode 6.3). I'm not even sure what changed, as it's still largely the same.
