How identify and remove leftover files on buildbots?

well, deleting would be the next step. First we want to learn when those
files appeared on the build bots. Are they old files (which are already
unregistered, but not deleted yet) or new files (not registered yet).

Would be good to know what caused the buildbots to hang and create all
the mess.
