port:VLC-devel (VLC 3.0) build breaks on a "non C++11" file/(system)header?

Hi,

I'm following VLC development (from a safe distance ;)) with my port:VLC-devel (https://trac.macports.org/ticket/47313). The build system requires a C++11 compatible compiler and selects that mode, but for me the build now breaks in a system header building the MKV demuxer. The only workaround I have found is to deactivate the C++11 mode as "surgically" as possible (which sadly means for the whole modules sub directory).

I'd prefer to know what causes the errors; I was under the impression that C++11 is *less* strict than standard C++, in a way?

R.
