Git Clone SSL Issue

evening everyone,

has anyone had issues with git clone from github and EL Capitan?

i've upgraded and trying to install git-flow and getting issues with ssl
certificates.

just wondering what I can check locally to aid investigation and debugging
a resolution for this issue.
