I got a ticket for hdf5 and netcdf.

The changes seems to be significant.

The problem has been discussed by the netcdf developers.

They seem to have a tentative fix and
they might release it pretty soon,
but there are other software packages that require 1.6/1.8 API.

Mark, could you roll back and create hdf5-18?
