base release to pick up new compiler selection options ?

Hi,

I would like to be able to use the more fine grained compiler selection 
implementated in

https://github.com/macports/macports-base/pull/88

but as this is not yet in a released version of base, no ports can yet 
use it. Are there any plans to make a new release any time soon, to 
enable use of new features like this ?
