Thanks for working on this.
I have also been trying to work on the Qt 6 port.
However, I have also been trying to modify the Qt 6 PortGroups as well.
There are a few things I wish I had done differently in the Qt5 PG and Portfile.
However, with so many different Qt5 ports and dependencies, making the changes would have been a significant undertaking.
Currently, there is only one Qt 6 port and only a few dependencies.
Any changes we make in the design of the Portfile or PGs are easy now but will become much more difficult down the road.
John, would you mind if we collaborated on this?
I was about to add myself as the maintainer of the Qt6 port, but I would be happy to wait.
I do not want to invalidate the work you have done already.
