Do you have a specific plan on when you're going to do this?

I'm currently finishing up the work on the automatic migration branch
that Umesh Singla developed for us during GSoC 2017, and I've made some
significant progress in the last few days. I ran a successful automated
migration to Sonoma with it yesterday and considering Apple doesn't seem
to be slowing down with new releases, it would be nice to still get it
into 2.9.0 before you branch.
