*wontfix* is appropriate for something either impossible or going against
MacPorts policies.

I do not think it should be used in a sense of “I am not gonna deal with
fixing it”, because the problem is unresolved, and someone else may wish to
fix it.


There is nothing here, AFAICT, which is incompatible with MacPorts policies
or which makes a fix technically infeasible.
