MacPorts 2.11.0: oddly named workdirs

I see an issue with a destroot mismatch for a local Portfile /opt/local/ports/lang/ghc/Portfile: https://trac.macports.org/ticket/72701
At some point, the old workpath is used for destroot:
> /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_ports_lang_ghc/ghc/work/destroot
But this doesn’t match the actual workpath:
> $ port work ghc
> /opt/local/var/macports/build/ghcnRDGdg/work
