me again with one of my issues ... the "system" command waiting forever on a zombie `sh` process?!

Hi,

This must be one of those "him again" things ... both of my Mac and Linux installs have been acting up lately, with the `port` driver command hanging in the `system` command from Pextlib because the spawned `sh` process became a zombie. This is new behaviour on systems that haven't seen OS or MacPorts "base" upgrades since well before the issue started. 

Usually it helps to add `-vd` to the CLI arguments but that's not really desirable for anything but the configure step...

Any ideas what on earth this might be this time? As far as I can tell we're talking about the system `sh` executables on both systems.
