LLVM based ports CPU variants

Folks,
I’m not sure if the question has been asked before, but wouldn’t it be pertinent to create per CPU (at least for X86 and ARM) variants of the various llvm based ports (llvm itself, clang, flang, rust…), which would limit the build to a single (or maybe two, X86 + ARM) specific CPU targets, instead of building all the CPU targets which I suppose 0.0001% of Macports users need. We would save compilation time and disk space.
We could add to the llvm port group code which would auto-generate as many variants as there are CPU targets, and let the people cherry-pick those they need.
Of course, I know most people install the binaries instead of compiling the compilers, but still.
Vincent
