Lua Port parsing fails on HEAD

So on the latest HEAD of macports-base, I get errors trying to index any lua port complaining about not finding portbuild::build_main on lua and porttest::test_main on lua subports. 

I know commit 2229835b165c138f9be3db3bb8474bf7f9d97470 works properly, I've rolled back to that. However, it's a bit big for git bisect, so I'm gonna try a bunch more.

Since this is pre-release, I didn't file a ticket, but should I? That's a question for all pre-release bugs. I like to run at HEAD to find stuff like this, so I could file under 2.12.99 or something?
