 Well here's the problem. What your log says:

 So build.env isn't being set for some reason. I don't know why that would
 be, unless perhaps you're using a prerelease version of MacPorts (ticket
 says 1.5.2). Has splitting statements over multiple lines stopped working
 in 1.6?
