 Agreed: with the patch still in place, I get

 base64.c:16:28: error: include/base64.h: No such file or directory
 }}}

 and then various fatal errors as a result. But I'm not confident in
 removing the patch, since it was added in r21625 specifically to avoid a
 conflict with heimdal. I'm not sure that removing the patch wouldn't
 reintroduce that conflict.
