 I'm sorry I typed up the info and forgot to paste it. So here it is:

 Mac OS X 10.4.11
 Xcode 2.2
 MacPorts 1.60 (had the same problem with 1.52)

 It's a PowerPC (iBook G4)


 I just saw Xcode is rather dated. I'll try updating it.
