 Could I ask which version of Mac OS X and Xcode you are using, and whether
 you are installing libcompat on its own or because it is listed as a
 dependency for something else?  Hopefully others can confirm this, but I'm
 pretty sure that libcompat was only needed prior to Mac OS X 10.3
 (Panther), so you should be able to do without it.
