 Has this issue been resolved?  It is not clear to me how to apply the
 patch in the attachment.  Is it possible for macosforge to host all the
 files including the patches in one location, and then modify the portfile
 to source the files from that location?  Xfig is not going to have any
 newer versions, so there won't be any need to update these files.
