 port install ettecap-ng wouldn't work for me.
 I found this http://ettercap.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5002
 which exactly described my problem.

 Based upon that information, I created a patch file and a new Portfile
 which I've both enclosed.

 Ettercap-ng now compiles on my TiBook 1GHz
