Comment:

 O.k., I've added a bunch of environment variables to the gcc42 port to
 avoid picking up binutils;

 I suppose this would be necessary for the other gcc ports, too -- on the
 other hand we could also remove (or change prefix) of the {{{binutils}}}
 port, especially since it seems to be defunct (or not fully functional) -
 Paul?

 (gcc 4.2 picks up the tools in ${prefix}/${arch}-apple-
 darwin${version}/bin/, not the one in ${prefix}/bin)
