 I just downloaded gpsd 2.37 from the web site and it built just fine "out
 of the box".    So I would suggest that the port be upgraded from 2.30 (2
 years old) to 2.37.
 Also, according to the readme, X windows and lesstif are only required for
 two test clients.  I did my build just fine without lisstif (openmotif)
 installed.  So I would suggest that openmotif and XFree86 be put into
 variants, instead of always being required.
