 You definitely have everything needed; the reason I asked is that at least
 several of those symbols ld didn't find are in libX11.6.dylib so they
 should be found...

 Can you do a {{{sudo port clean gv}}} then run the build with debug:
 {{{
 sudo port -d install gv > install.txt 2>&1
 }}}
 then attach that install.txt here?
