 While installing gnome on a MacBook Pro (OS X 10.5.4, X11 2.3.0, XCode
 3.1), the script fails when trying to veryify the checksum on libcaca.

 I ran sudo port install libcaca to isolate the error and it fails at the
 same point.

 See the following error message:
