 This problem still persists. I have attached Portfile.diff which adds
 Christopher's solution for leopard builds only. It is meant to be temorary
 and should be removed when a new version of dports is released. However,
 there are some more leopard and osx related fixes in the dsocks svn
 repository. But I can't find any information on when a new version will be
 released.
