 What I'd be even more interested: Should we symlink non-existent front-
 ends (e.g. fortran with gcc4x from Apple) to /bin/false or remove the
 symlinks like now? The previous has the edge of being more port-friendly
 in terms of installation etc. (as the files-list is stable for the
 {{{gcc_select}}} port)
