Hi - thanks a lot for you patience,
I can now confirm, that with a clean macports install, then Xquartz,
gwyddion builds succesfully and runs!

Again thanks for your efforts!
Another thing (should I make new ticket for this? -sorry, for the
inconvenience):
There seems to be a difference between the win version and ported version
in at least one specific file format. The ,jpk format is mission for the
ported version, as this is actually the one I will need the most!
