 Plain TIFF images are opened via gdk-pixbuf, i.e. if Gtk+ can open TIFF
 files, so can Gwyddion.

 But JPK files are opened using libtiff directly and Gwyddion has to be
 linked with libtiff for that.  This capability is printed in the configure
 feature summary (TIFF (including JPK): ...).
