 I already maintain octave, so I am definitely interested in also
 maintaining the octave-forge packages.

 We should add a portgroup for octave packages, but I didn't have the time
 to look into it before the 1.7.0 release, so that I think we probably need
 to wait for the next release to be able to send a portgroup easily to all
 users. Because of that, we are probably better of updating all octave-
 forge ports now, even if that means changing all portfiles, and then look
 further into using a portgroup correctly.
