 Forgive me, but just to clarify the situation:

 You want all of the rpm packages to use perl5.8?[[BR]]
 rpm51 and rpm50 need to change to
 {{{
 __PERL=${prefix}/bin/perl5.8
 }}}
 rpm and rpm45 need to require that ${prefix}/bin/perl5.8 is used.[[BR]]
 rpm-devel is already fixed.

 Can we go ahead and make the changes now to facilitate the transition to
 perl5?
