Comment (by ram at macports.org):

 Some apps use an older SDK to ensure backwards compatibility, I imagine
 you didn't install the 10.3 SDK when you install Xcode.

 What's the contents of the ```/Developer/SDKs``` directory?

 If you rerun the Xcode installation and install the other SDKs I imagine
 that this problem will go away.
