 Based on "i686-apple-darwin9.1.0" in your output, I guess you have Mac OS
 X 10.5.1 on an Intel Mac.

 I see the same problem on an Intel Mac with Mac OS X 10.4.11 and Xcode

 Now the question is: do you really need gcj34? Would, for example, gcj-
 mp-4.2 provided by the gcc42 port work for you instead?
