The bug might be somewhere else then, but I can tell you for sure that
this is the error I got when I installed a bunch of ports on a brand new
MacBook Pro with a fresh Tiger install, right after installing MacPorts'
{{{.dmg}}}.
The command I issued was {{{port -v install a2ps aspell autoconf automake
bison boost bzip2 ccache cmake coreutils colordiff ctags curl doxygen flex
gmake graphviz grep gsed irssi m4 perl5.8 rlwrap stow sysvbanner vim w3m
wget}}} (thank you ZSH history :D).
