Comment:

 FYI: As of Leopard also Apple ships gzipped man pages.

 a) If you really need a fast full text search for man pages (e.g index
 based), go to the man people and ask there.

 b) From ManOpen's description: "it will display the output from the `man'
 command-line program." man can read gzipped man pages, so would ManOpen,
 right?
 I can't test as it does not build for me.

 I don't want to start a reopen/close war by closing this again, but we are
 not going to change anything.
