 Do you have a `/usr/include/iconv.h`? If not, then I'm wondering if you're
 missing the component of the OS that includes it. That in turn appears to
 make the libiconv port configure differently. One of the comments noted
 this error on Tiger, something I have as yet been unable to reproduce.
