 Please see my answer in ticket #13756, comment 5.  A solution is to put a
 check into each pyXX-wxpython Portfile to make sure that the version of
 wxWidgets that's currently installed is compatible with the version of
 wxpython that is about to be installed.  If not, tell the user what to do
 to get the correct version of wxWidgets, or something else useful ... not
 just a "random" compiler error message.
