Comment:

 Some questions remain unresolved: what about the man pages and the
 binaries? Also, if some module has been updated, then it should be
 installed whenever perl5.8 has been installed (as if it were updated in
 the perl5.8 port itself).

 This bug blocks the upgrade of other software and is really annoying.
 Could it be eventually fixed?
