 What happens:
   latex2man's post-activate phase contains fmtutil instructions that fail.
 I suspect the 'fmtutil --missing' or "updmap-sys"to be the problematic
 one.

 What you should try:
   does 'sudo fmtutil --all' work?

   does 'sudo fmtutil --missing' work?

   does 'sudo mktexlsr' work?

   does 'sudo updmap-sys' work?

 How to correct the port:
   Try removing the faulty command(s) from the post-activate part of the
 Portfile. Or replace it by an equivalent one (see in texlive_base post-
 activate to see what is needed and sufficient).
