 Oh, ok. I didn't miss it; [#comment:2 I asked] why you cleared
 `configure.cppflags` and `configure.ldflags`, and [#comment:3 you said]
 that it wasn't necessary and I could remove them, so I did. I'll put them
 back and try again.
