 gcc43 does not provide a working gcj-mp-4.3 either on Leopard PowerPC.
 Googling the error, it seems we must provide either ecj1 in MacPorts, or
 else provide gcc with an ecj.jar from which it will produce ecj1. We
 already have an eclipse-ecj32 port; maybe we just need to provide a newer
 eclipse-ecj34 port (though I had trouble building it because it seems to
 want Java 1.6 and Mac OS X (at least Tiger) only has Java 1.5). I also
 can't find a homepage for ecj or a statement of what the current version
 is, though it seems to be some flavor of 3.4.
