It seems autoconf is now picky about spaces between the parentheses and
the variable name in AC_SUBST statements? Patching this in r38414. Now it
builds for me.

Kevin, I haven't reported this problem to the makers of fish; you may want
to do that so the fix can be upstream instead of in MacPorts.
