 I only fixed the readline issue. The Fink version does have more patches
 than the MacPorts version. Not sure if we need to bring any more of them
 over. But it looks like large dataset support is available in the mapm3
 port's "large_datasets" variant. See `port variants mapm3`. Install it
 using `sudo port install mapm3 +large_datasets`. Not sure why this isn't
 the default. Do you know if there is any detriment to enabling large
 dataset support always? FreeBSD seems to do so. If there's anything else
 we need to do for the mapm3 port, please open a new ticket.
