 Create a local ports directory per the macports guide
 (http://guide.macports.org). Download the Portfiles for 8.4.16 tcl and tk
 from the macports trac (http://trac.macports.org/browser/trunk/dports) and
 copy the Portfile for itk over to the local ports directory.

 sudo port install itk. done.
