Comment:

 Attached a new patch which I think is the right way to fix this. The most
 important part is that registry::installed now always returns the port
 name with canonical case. This alone would fix the deactivation bug. The
 rest of the patch is making sure that correctly-cased port names are used
 in a bunch of places where previously it could have been whatever the user
 typed in.
