 You're right of course.  I had a frack of a time getting it up to date,
 but after going on an rm-rf binge it finally came together.  Thanks.  FWIW
 I did do what I thought was a full uninstall-and-reinstall of the macports
 scala to confirm the bug before I submitted the report.
