 This enhancement updates the version from 3.060 to 3.080, and allows
 selection of various Fortran compilers to produce wrappers via variants.
 No variant case has no Fortran wrappers.

 Variant possibilities for wrappers using various compilers: g77, g95,
 gfortran-mp-4.2 and gfortran-mp-4.3

 No patch file changes - use the existing ones (patch-configure and patch-
 Makefile.in.diff)
