 I installed MacPorts using the binary installer image.

 The installation contains pkg-config which is not part of any package.

 This may conflict with other pkg-config installation, should not be needed
 by the ports core, prevents successful installation of the pkgconfig port,
 and cannot be cleanly uninstalled/removed.
