 If you were using MacPorts from trunk you would not experience this
 problem because MacPorts in trunk adds the "old" download location to the
 apache mirror...

 For now you can manually download apache-2.2.8.tar.bz2 from
 http://distfiles.macports.org/apache2/ or
 http://archive.apache.org/dist/httpd/ and put it in
 /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/apache2

 Apache 2.2.9 has been released, so the port should be updated to this
 version.
