 Yes, you are right.  This is a mistake I made before when packaging it,
 perhaps because of an earlier version, but most likely because a dependent
 of it, p5-ipe *does* require p5-xml-checker.  It would probably be
 possible to simply move this dependency over to p5-ipe.  I am not a
 committer, though so i can't do that myself.
